Fermi arcs versus hole pockets: Periodization of a cellular two-band model

چکیده

It is still debated whether the low-doping Fermi surface of cuprates composed hole pockets or disconnected arcs. Results from cellular dynamical mean field theory (c-DMFT) support arcs hypothesis by predicting corresponding for Hubbard model. Here, we introduce a simple parametrization self-energy, in spirit Yang-Rice-Zhang theory, and show that state art c-CDMFT calculations cannot give definitive answer to question vs holes pockets, this, independently periodization (cumulant Green's function) used display spectral weights infinite lattice. Indeed, when our model restricted cluster periodized like c-DMFT, only two adjustable parameters suffice reproduce qualitative details frequency momentum dependence low energy c-DMFT weight both periodizations. In other words, even though starting has electron it leads c-DMFT. We provide new "compact tiling" scheme recover non-interacting lattice model, suggesting better schemes might exist.

Fermi Arcs vs. Fermi Pockets in Electron-doped Perovskite Iridates

We report on an angle resolved photoemission (ARPES) study of bulk electron-doped perovskite iridate, (Sr(1-x)La(x))3Ir2O7. Fermi surface pockets are observed with a total electron count in keeping with that expected from La substitution. Depending on the energy and polarization of the incident photons, these pockets show up in the form of disconnected "Fermi arcs", reminiscent of those reporte...

Two energy gaps and Fermi-surface "arcs" in NbSe2.

Using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we report on the direct observation of the energy gap in 2H-NbSe2 caused by the charge-density waves (CDW). The gap opens in the regions of the momentum space connected by the CDW vectors, which implies a nesting mechanism of CDW formation. In remarkable analogy with the pseudogap in cuprates, the detected energy gap also exists in the normal sta...

Distinct Evolutions of Weyl Fermion Quasiparticles and Fermi Arcs with Bulk Band Topology in Weyl Semimetals.

The Weyl semimetal phase is a recently discovered topological quantum state of matter characterized by the presence of topologically protected degeneracies near the Fermi level. These degeneracies are the source of exotic phenomena, including the realization of chiral Weyl fermions as quasiparticles in the bulk and the formation of Fermi arc states on the surfaces. Here, we demonstrate that the...

Temperature Distribution of a Non gray Gas between Two Parallel Planes Using Exponential Wide Band Model

In this paper, the Radiation Transfer Equation(RTE) for a non-gray gas between two large parallel planes has been solved and the temperature distribution obtained. With the RTE, solution heat fluxes are also determined. Since and are two components of most combustion products, the problem has been solved for these two gases. The results were, whenever possible, compared with data reported el...
